By booking with Happy Paws, you’re agreeing to the following terms so things stay smooth, safe, and stress-free for everyone involved – especially your pet.
Before any new booking, I’ll arrange a complimentary meet and greet. This allows me to get to know your pet, understand their routines, and ensure it’s a great match for everyone involved.
To confirm a booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is due the day before care begins. For bookings made less than 48 hours in advance, full payment is required at the time of booking. Please note, payment holds the date, not the rate. Rates may be updated for bookings made more than six months in advance, with changes communicated before final payment. Public Holiday Pricing: All public holiday bookings incur a 25% surcharge on the base rate. This applies to each day of the booking that falls on a public holiday. Flat Holiday Fee Dates: 24 December, 25 December, and 31 December each incur an additional $185 + GST flat fee per booking day, in addition to the standard public holiday surcharge and base rate. Minimum Stay Requirements: Minimum stays may apply during public holiday periods and peak demand times. These will be advised before booking confirmation.
Yes, dog walks are available as an add-on to our overnight or 24-hour care services. Please note, we do not offer walks as a standalone service.
For the safety of all animals in my care, dogs must be fully vaccinated (including C5/Kennel Cough), wormed, and up to date with flea and tick prevention.
I need to know about any medical conditions, medications, or behavioral quirks in advance. Pets with separation anxiety, reactivity, or special needs are welcome if it’s something I’m set up to support—but it must be discussed ahead of time.
If a pet becomes aggressive, overly stressed, or poses a risk to themselves or others, I may need to end the booking early. Safety is always the priority—for your pet, for others, and for myself.
I rely on full transparency from owners. You’re responsible for any property damage, vet costs, or harm caused by your pet during care.
Please provide clear instructions and all necessary items such as food, medications, leash, bedding, and any comfort items your pet needs to feel at home. If care is happening at your home, ensure access is safe and simple (a key lockbox or spare key is ideal).
In the event of illness or injury, I’ll contact you or your emergency contact right away. If urgent care is needed and I can’t reach you, I’ll make a call based on your pet’s best interest and seek veterinary help.
All vet costs are the responsibility of the owner. I carry basic first aid and will act quickly and calmly in any emergency.
Yes, I have public liability and pet business insurance for your peace of mind. However, you are still responsible for your pet’s health costs and any third-party damages caused by your pet. I highly recommend having your own pet insurance as well.
Every item and shared space is cleaned and sanitised between stays. I work hard to keep my home calm, comfortable, and hygienic for your pet’s wellbeing.
If I believe a pet isn’t the right fit for my care setup, or if any risks arise, I reserve the right to decline or cancel the service. I do this to protect everyone involved.
These terms may be updated occasionally. The version listed on my website is the most current and applies at the time of your booking.
